The root causes of this crisis are clear: the ongoing forces of capitalism and colonialism, which have long granted settlers impunity to harm our most vulnerable, where justice remains unheard. Indigenous society cannot be built in parallel with the structures imposed by settler society—ending the crisis of femicide and gendered violence demands the dissolution of the settler state.
